20th Anniversary

Talk Story Bookstore is happy to announce its 20th year in business!  Since its grand opening on November 6th 2004, Talk Story Bookstore has been dedicated to providing the wide-ranging selection of New and Used Books, Hawaiiana, Vintage & Rare Books, Vinyl Records, Comics, Retro Video Games, and Local Gifts to its customers.

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we are now offering special limited-run apparel--featuring artwork created by Yuriko J. Design! We will also be having prize giveaways every month (Please follow our IG for further details)! And we have begun to plan the 20th Anniversary event party in November! With a large variety of new books, used books, out of print books, comic books, vinyl records, vintage books, rare + collectables, even vintage video games, we promise to have something for everyone. We have over 25,000 unique titles packed within these walls that will interest readers of all kinds; anything from beach-reads to children’s books, mysteries to current events + all things Hawaiiana.

The doors opened in 2004 when Ed Justus was offered a month’s free rent to start a business. His at-home eBay business was thus transformed into a much-needed westside bookstore! Since that time, “Talk Story Bookstore” has won numerous business awards and became the #1 shopping destination on the island according to TripAdvisor!
